González Byass Wines
As boxed wine sales were increasing due to improved quality and consumer perception, the Chicago distributor for wine producer González Byass wanted in on the action. Two varietals of Caldora, a premium-priced Italian brand, were chosen for a product trial. The client wanted an elevated, unique, eye-catching design to stand out amidst significant boxed wine shelf clutter—an elegant, formal look for the Sangiovese, and a lighter, fun and feminine look for the Pinot Grigio. Unfortunately, the test was cancelled before and packaging could be produced. Four of the concepts are pictured here.
